About Me
My name is Susan Wood
I'm an illustrator and painter living in Greater Sydney. My art is many things, but most of all it make me happy.
In addition to illustration and painting, I make and wear costumes, cake decorating and dance. I am a wheelchair user and I did six years of para dance sport, currently exploring burlesque and I play some pretty mid-level piano.
Art Projects
My art isn't contained to one type of art form, if that makes any sense. I mainly use ink pens such as copic markers for my illustrations and use acrylic paint.

The Viper and The Eagle
In 2023, I illustrated a Vipera Berus and Golden Eagle for someone as a gift. I love giving away art as gifts.
I think it's a really nice way of showing sincere thought about someone.
Skulls and Florals
Fusing animal skulls and florals. This artwork was a neon vibe that started me thinking about what else I can turn into neon. This was created during the pandemic lockdown.
The Cobra and The Eagle
From 2021 - 2022, I illustrated a three part series to my Filpino heritage. My mum comes from Negros Occidental and immigrated to Australia in 1980. I try and find ways to be closer to my culture.

I am currently working on an adult (and not so adult) downloadable colouring in pages based on ugly food from Women's Weekly and Golden Circle magazing circa 1960s - 1980s - stay tuned!
